This is a temporary contract opportunity with The Cigna Group through Magnit, an enterprise third-party vendor for contingent work.

Flex - Morris Plains or Austin, TX onsite - 3 days/week Core hours: 9am-5pm CST/EST

Responsibilities:

Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Designs and develops a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake which store all critical data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client and Benefits data. Manages processes that are highly complex and impact the greater organization. Designs, develops and implements methods, processes, tools and analyses to sift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. May lead or manage sizable projects. Participates in the delivery of the definitive enterprise information environment that enables strategic decision-making capabilities across enterprise via an analytics and reporting. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Information Management assignments.

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with 6-9 years of expertise in AWS CloudGenerative AI (Gen-AI), and Full Stack Development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions, building scalable AI-driven applications, and developing full-stack applications using Python (backend) and React (frontend). This role requires a blend of cloud engineering, AI integration, and software development expertise to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering:

    • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on AWS Cloud.
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
    • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based applications and services.

Generative AI Integration:

  • Build and deploy Generative AI models using Azure OpenAI/GPT, AWS Bedrock, etc.
  • Integrate AI/ML models into cloud-based applications and APIs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to optimize AI models for production environments.
  • Stay updated on advancements in Generative AI and recommend innovative solutions.

Full Stack Development:

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django).
  • Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React.
  • Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, DevOps engineers, and product managers.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices for cloud and application development

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 6-9 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, AI integration, and full-stack development.
  • Cloud Expertise:
  • Proficiency in AWS Cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SageMaker).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
  • Generative AI:
  • Experience with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., GPT, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion).
  • Knowledge of deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
  • Full Stack Development:
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development.
  • Expertise in React for frontend development.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket communication.
  • DevOps:
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Other Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Machine learning concepts
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Education:

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related quantitative disciplines (Bachelor’s REQUIRED, Master’s preferred).

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $57 - $71/hr
