This is a temporary contract opportunity with The Cigna Group through Magnit, an enterprise third-party vendor for contingent work.

Summary:

Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Engineering matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Designs and develops a consolidated, conformed enterprise data warehouse and data lake which store all critical data across Customer, Provider, Claims, Client and Benefits data. Manages processes that are highly complex and impact the greater organization. Designs, develops and implements methods, processes, tools and analyses to sift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. May lead or manage sizable projects. Participates in the delivery of the definitive enterprise information environment that enables strategic decision-making capabilities across enterprise via an analytics and reporting. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Information Management assignments.

We are seeking a skilled MLOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development, with extensive experience in Python, Docker, and machine learning. You will be responsible for owning CI/CD pipelines, building APIs and applications, and ensuring seamless integration and deployment of machine learning models.

Schedule Notes

HYBRID POSITION - at least 2 days in office at Austin TX location or Morris Plains, NJ location (NJ location is 3-days in office). Monday-Friday, 40 hours. Core Hours 9am-5pm ET or CT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning projects.
  • Develop and maintain APIs (FastAPI) and applications to support machine learning workflows.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy machine learning models in production.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of deployed models.
  • Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to machine learning models.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in MLOps, machine learning and Gen AI.

 

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk).

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in full stack development with Python.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and AWS environments.
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Serving and Hosting LLM’s

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related quantitative disciplines (Bachelor’s REQUIRED, Master’s preferred).\

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $60 - $75/hr
