ROLE OVERVIEW: Accounting Analyst
The Accounting Analyst will support internal general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L, etc.) at Verity Solutions and provide financial adjudication services for the company’s customers.
The position will perform cash posting, collections of outstanding balances, and serve as the point of contact for the financial adjudication between our pharmacy partners and our customers.
The position will support all accounting practices to ensure compliance with legal guidelines and established generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
The position will interact with different parts of the company, and also will have direct contact with external customers/vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support all accounting operational functions, including, but not limited to: A/R, A/P, collections, reconciliations, check runs, taxes, and general ledger activities.
Support parts of the monthly close processes, including making journal entries and maintaining supporting workbooks.
Process complex financial transactions involving invoicing and cash collections from pharmacy partners followed by cash disbursements to hospital customers.
Prepare and process account adjustments according to department guidelines.
Direct periodic payments to hospital customers.
Collaborate with Finance and IT departments to maintain financial records and system processes.
Research and interpret accounting policy and apply observations and recommendations to operational issues.
Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes.
Evaluate, monitor, improve, and document internal controls.
Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and established GAAP.
Coordinate with affiliate companies for intercompany transactions and communication.
Support activities of external auditors.
Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process, including escalating issues in a timely manner.
SKILLS
2+ years of relevant experience in accounting functions such as month-end close, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
Understanding of GAAP.
Intermediate skills on Microsoft Excel, accounting software
Experience with Sage Intacct financial management software preferred.
Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial results.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
Skilled in time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work on-site & virtually as this role is based out of Kirkland, WA with flexibility to work from home.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $27.00/hour-$31.00/ hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)
